Personal Trainer - a comprehensive approach
£20 /hour (individuals) - £35 /hour (couples)
I specialise in providing a holistic Personal Training (PT) experience, which not only focuses on the physical fitness & appearance of your body, but also considers the mind, nutritional requirements, and of course, what you want to achieve from me, your Personal Trainer.
Also available is a two session PT taster experience. Consisting of two x 1 hour sessions, it allows you to sample the experience before deciding to commit for a longer period. It's also a great gift idea too.
All PT session are held at your local leisure centre.
Nutritional Advisor - feed your body & mind
£10 /hour (individuals) - £17 /hour (couples)
The essential nutritional guidance I provide will help to complement your daily physical efforts, ensuring both your body and mind are appropriately catered for. Part of the process will include keeping a diary and adapting your eating habits where required.
My nuritional advise is based solely upon eating real food: it is not a 'diet' or other dietary fad. So if you are ready to walk away from the status quo, and improve your health and well-being through the food you eat, I look forward to hearing from you.
GP Referral Exercise Programme - for specific health concerns
Your GP or other health professional may refer you to a subsidised Exercise Referral scheme to complement your prescribed treatment plan. These schemes are popular, and provide a service delivered in mixed gender groups of up to forty people, with one or perhaps two instructors per group.
I provide a private alternative, undertaken in the comfort and security of your own home, or if you prefer, at your local gym. Health conditions such as high and low blood pressure, arthritis, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, together with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, are just some of the conditions I am able to help you with.
So, if you prefer a personal approach, and value your privacy, please contact me for a referral form. Then ask your GP to assess your suitability to the scheme, and ask them to complete the referral form (please return the completed referral form to myself).
Your Initial Consultation
Once you have expressed an interest in either my Personal Training or GP Exercise Referral Programme services, I will ask you to complete a questionnaire and to attend a private obligation-free consultation. This consultation is free of charge, and will help to identify your current health & fitness levels, as well as provide the basis upon which I will formulate a health & fitness programme specifically for you. The consultation will also provide you with the ideal opportunity to ask any queries you may have.
If you have any underlying health issues, or are pregnant or postpartum, then before embarking on any new fitness activity or programme, I advise you to seek medical advice from your GP/Qualified Health Care Professional to ensure it is safe for you to do so.
To participate in the GP Exercise Referral programme, you must be referred to me by your GP or Health Care Professional. Please contact me for the referral form; you will need to present this to your GP for completion.
Indoor Studio Cycling - aka Spin
£ leisure centre rates
This is a great High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) type group workout on spin bikes, and accompanied with some great music, all in the company of like-minded people. Directed by myself, your 30 minute session will take you through the steepest climbs to the fastest descents. My sessions are held at Aberaeron Leisure Centre on Monday evenings: the first session at 5:15pm is for all you intermediate to advanced spinners, whilst the 6:00pm session is suitable for novices of all levels.
Private group sessions are available too, and are ideal for friends and colleagues to come together to get away from the stresses of the working environment, or as part of team building programme. Please contact me with your requirements.
Indoor Rowing Instruction - a short course
Have you used a rowing machine (aka Erg), only to find that you don't know how to set it up correctly; perhaps it simply doesn't feel right; or, you’ve experienced knee and back pain during or after your workout? By the end of this short course you will you be able to set up the correct seating and foot position and master correct rowing technique, know how to choose and set one of the many available training programmes via the electronic display, and, set up more advanced features such as the drag factor. This rowing specific short course comprises of 2 x 1 hour sessions.
Gym Equipment Instruction - guidance for all
As a certified Gym Instructor, I provide you with the functional introduction/refresher to gym equipment and its safe and effective use. Useful for both novice, or the more seasoned gym user wishing to develop their skills, this gym instruction course will give your confidence a boost.
